Pataka is a restaurant which proclaims its divergance from the average the moment you step over the threshold.
It’s distinctive Charles Rennie Mackintosh interior makes for a unique appearance, with fascinating carved private wooden booths of intricate design.
It certainly defies the generic conventions of the usual interior, appearing more like a Scottish restaurant than an Indian.
There’s a willingness to experiment - of which Mackintosh would have approved - also evident in the menu.
